Ogren Visiting Clemson Saturday

Jeff Ogren talks with CUTigers.com about the start of his senior year.

6-2.5, 185 pound wide receiver prospect Jeff Ogren was limited to the defensive side of the ball in American Christian Academy's big win this past weekend. "We won 62-18. I didn't play receiver because I hurt my ankle. The trainer didn't want me to cut on the ankle. It is just a light sprain," Ogren told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

"But I did play defense. I played corner for the first two quarters. I had two pass breakups and three solo tackles."

When asked if he is still firm with his commitment to the Tigers, Ogren responded, "I am still pretty firm for now. Right now I'm pretty much going to Clemson," he said.

The in-state schools continue to try to convince Ogren to reconsider his commitment to Clemson. "Auburn is still showing interest. Alabama is still recruiting me hard. Neither school is backing off. Next week the coaches can call again so I will get to see what they all have to say."

Ogren will also be making the trip to Death Valley this weekend to take in the Tigers' game with Texas A&M. "Yeah, I'm coming up for the Texas A&M game this weekend. I am looking forward to talking with some of the other recruits. Coach Swinney said he was excited that I was making the visit.

"I will probably be taking my official visit to Clemson for the Miami game. I'm hoping to make a couple of more Clemosn games and probably some Auburn and Alabama games."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding receiver from Alabama, right up through signing day.
