GA ATH has Clemson Ties

Rock Robinson is a big Running Back prospect from Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia. The 6'0 and 210 pound Robinson rushed for 985 yards last season and is looking for greatness this fall. Robinson had a great game in a losing effort in Collin Hill's season opener.

"We lost to Grayson in our first game," said Robinson. "I had 254 yards on 28 carries. We were tied going into the fourth quarter. They scored late in the fourth quarter to beat us."

Robinson helped lead Collins Hill to the second round of the playoffs last year. He has set high goals for himself and his team this fall.

"Personally I want to rush for at least 1,500 yards. Last year we won our region and I think we can do it again. Our team is similar to last year. I think we can do at least what we did last year."

Robinson has good speed and competes on the Collins Hill track team.

"I run the hundred (meters) in track and two hundred (meters) in track. My best time in the hundred was at our school's invitational (Ice Breaker Invitational). I ran a 10.9 (seconds) and won that meet."

Robinson was slowed up in the drills at the Kennedy/CES Southern Invitational after coming off a knee surgery. He claims is speed is back to where it once was.

"At Clemson's camp I ran a 4.48 (forty yard dash). It was one of the top 5 fastest times there. My knee is healthy now and my speed is back."

Which schools are on Robinson's wish list?

"I like Clemson, Auburn, Georgia, Louisville, and Tennessee. I like Clemson the most of all of them."

What does Robinson like about Clemson?

"My dad played there in the early 80's. I like their coaches because they listen to what their players have to say. I like the fans too. They really support the team. It's a small town and there's not a lot of distractions there."

Robison has yet to receive an offer but has been in close contact with three schools.

"I've talked to Louisville, Clemson, and Auburn more than any other schools."

Has Robinson planned for any of his official visits?

"I'm not really thinking about that at this time. I'm just concentrating on our team right now."
