McDaniel Leads Tiger Commitments in Week 3

Clemson verbal commitment DeAndre McDaniel had a huge game in Godby's 35-10 win over Leon High Friday night.

WR/S DeAndre McDaniel - McDaniel caught four passes for 54 yards and a touchdown, blocked a field goal, and also had an interception on defense in Godby's 35-10 win over Leon High Friday evening. "I took it upon myself to step up and make something happen," he told the Tallahassee Democrat. McDaniel remains firm in his verbal commitment to Clemson at the present time.

WR Jeff Ogren - Ogren caught five passes for 96 yards and a touchdown Friday night in a 44-6 win for American Christian Academy. He also recorded six tackles on defense. Ogren remains firm to Clemson after taking in the season opener against Texas A&M. Ogren also plans to come up for the Miami game this weekend.

QB Willy Korn - Junior Byrnes QB Willy Korn completed 26-of-30 passes for 217 yards in a 65-6 win over J.L. Mann. Korn also threw his first interception of the season in the win. The Byrnes Rebels, ranked as one of the top teams in the country, continue to average over 62 points per game on their march towards a fourth straight state championship. Korn has completed 80-of-99 passes on the year for 1228 yards and 17 touchdowns.

QB Michael Wade - Senior Riverside QB Michael Wade completed 15-of-29 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown in a 20-7 loss to Easley Friday night. He also threw an interception. Wade, who has completed 37-of-65 passes for 422 yards this year, remains firm to Clemson.

PK Richard Jackson - Jackson connected on his only PAT Friday night in Riverside's 20-7 loss to Easley. Jackson remains firm to Clemson.

DE Ricky Sapp - Sapp recorded nine tackles, including two for a loss and one forced fumble Friday night in Bamberg Ehrhardt's 34-13 win over Barnwell. Bamberg Ehrhardt remains undefeated on the year at 4-0. Sapp, who took in the Tigers' season opening win over Texas A&M, will also be in Death Valley this coming weekend for the Miami game. Sapp also maintains that he is firm in his verbal commitment to Clemson.

CB Byron Maxwell - Maxwell is not playing football this season after tearing his ACL. He remains firmly committed to Clemson.

ATH Crezdon Butler - Butler, playing as a quarterback, rushed for a touchdown in Asheville's 34-13 win over East Burke. Butler, who was in Clemson for the season opening win over Texas A&M, remains firm in his verbal commitment to Clemson.
