6-0, 180 pound safety prospect Jonathan Warren is having a great season for Butler County Community College (Kansas). "The season is going real good. We are 3-0. We are the number one ranked team in the country right now. I am the leading tackler. I have 28 tackles this season I believe. I picked off my first pass this week," Warren told CUTigers.com Wednesday night.
Clemson wide receivers coach Dabo Swinney continues to work hard to get the prize recruit in orange next year. "I talked to Coach Swinney just the other day," Warren said. "He called me the day they played Maryland. He told me they were thinking about me," Warren said.
What does Warren think about the Tigers' strong start to the year?
"Clemson is off to a great start. We were on the road this week so I didn't get to watch the game, but I know they have a big one this week," Warren said. "It should be a good game."
When asked if he has any leader, Warren responded, "Right now I have two leaders. The two teams on top are Clemson and Iowa State."
What does the JUCO standout like about each school?
Clemson: "I love the atmosphere at Clemson. I love that stadium. The ACC is the best conference in football. You are going to play a top-notch team every week," he said.
Iowa State: "They are in the Big 12. They also play a top-notch team every week. They had a big win this week," he added.
What about playing time?
"I think the playing time would be about same at both schools. Both teams are telling me about the same thing. They both tell me they can use my skills," Warren said.
The Florida native is also working hard in the classroom. "I have been hitting the books hard. The coaches have been staying on me and I have been working with tutors. I should know by next months if I will be able to graduate in December," he said.
Warren also maintains that we will be making a visit to Clemson in November for the Florida State game.
