Wilkerson Leads Tiger Commitments in Week 4

Clemson verbal commitment LB Julius Wilkerson had a huge night Friday in Gaffney's 48-0 win over Boiling Springs. Wilkerson had three interceptions, including one that he returned 35 yards for a touchdown.

TE Jamie Cumbie - Clemson verbal commitment Jamie Cumbie continues strong play on both sides of the ball for Morris High School. On defense, he recorded four tackles and two sacks. On offense, he brought in two catches for 54 yards. Morris High School remains undefeated after a 61-8 win. Cumbie visited Clemson officially this weekend and was hosted by Nathan Bennett. He remains firm to Clemson and will take no other official visits. "It's extremely firm," said the four-star prospect about his commitment to Clemson. "There is no chance I change mind."

DE Ricky Sapp - Five-star defensive end prospect Ricky Sapp had nine tackles and a forced fumble in Bamberg Ehrhardt's 42-0 win over North Friday evening. Saturday, Sapp made his second trip to Clemson this season to watch the Tigers take on Miami. "It was wonderful. The crowd was crazy. The seats were shaking. I thought Clemson should have won the game," Sapp told CUTigers.com. Sapp also insists that he is firm in his commitment to Clemson.

QB Willy Korn - Korn and Byrnes High School had this past weekend off, however the Rebels return to action Friday night against Gaffney. Korn, along with teammate WR Matt Quinn, was in attendance for Saturday's game against Miami. Korn remains firm in his commitment to Clemson. on the season, the junior quarterback has completed 80-of-99 passes for 1228 yards and 17 touchdowns.

WR/S DeAndre McDaniel - McDaniel caught three passes for 30 yards in Godby's 29-9 win over Panama City Bay. McDaniel remains firm to Clemson.

QB Michael Wade - Wade rushed 15 times for 60 yards and a touchdown, and also completed 12-of-19 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown in Riverside's 42-17 win over Blue Ridge. Wade was also in attendance for the Tigers' game against Miami on Saturday. He remains firm in his commitment to Clemson.

PK Richard Jackson - Richard Jackson was a perfect 6-for-6 on his extra points in Riverside's 42-17 win over Blue Ridge. He also punted twice for a 57-yard average. Jackson, like Wade, was in Clemson for the Tigers' game against Miami on Saturday and remains firm in his commitment to Clemson.

DB Crezdon Butler - Butler rushed 14 times for 131 yards and a touchdown in Asheville's 17-0 win over Brevard. Asheville is currently ranked No. 1 in Western North Carolina by the Asheville Citizen-Times. Butler was also in the stands for Saturday's Miami - Clemson game. He remains firm in his verbal commitment to Clemson.

WR Kendrick Johnson - Johnson did not make a previously planned trip to Clemson this weekend, but he did catch five passes for 70 yards and two touchdowns in a 53-17 loss to Dillard High School. Johnson remains firm to Clemson, but is receiving stronger interest from Georgia as of late.

CB Byron Maxwell - Maxwell is not playing football this season after tearing his ACL. He remains firmly committed to Clemson.

WR Jeff Ogren - Ogren caught a 40-yard touchdown pass in American Christian Academy's 55-8 win over Carollton. ACA, ranked No. 2 in Class 1, is now 4-0 on the season. Ogren, who remains firm in his verbal commitment to Clemson, was also on hand for Saturday's game against Miami.
