To say that Joe Sturdivant is a phenomenal athlete would be an understatement.
The 6'2, 185 lb. defensive back, along with Clemson commitment Jeff Francouer, dominated Class 5A football in Georgia last season as Parkview won their second consecutive state championship.
On the season he registered 133 tackles, broke up six passes and brought in two interceptions.
In terms of vital statistics, Sturdivant has been timed at right under 4.6 in the 40-yard dash, and he has a 240-pound bench-press and can squat 400 pounds.
This year, now that Francouer is gone, he'll have the spotlight- and plenty of schools are already taking notice. Maryland, Michigan, Florida State, Clemson, and Auburn, are his early favorites.
Sturdivant figures to be a safety at the next level. He has great size, good speed, and he'll likely come out of the Parkview program a very strong football player.
He also figures to be a full qualifier, with a GPA well over 3.5. We will continue to keep you updated on Sturdivant, as we receive more information.
