Clemson, Alabama Lead for GA LB

One prospect flying under the radar is Akeem Dent from Douglass High School in Atlanta. Dent is lighting people up from his linebacker position, and college coaches are taking notice of his break-out senior year.

"The season has been going very well," said Akeem Dent. "We lost our first game on Friday night. It was really tough for us, but we will bounce back."

"I have over sixty tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and ten tackles for loss this season," Dent added.

Dent was scheduled for an unofficial visit in Tuscaloosa for the Alabama-Florida game.

"I was unable to attend the game," he said. "I watched the game on television though. I thought Alabama played real good. It was really exciting to see them win the game.

"Besides my three offers, I am receiving heavy interest from Alabama, Clemson and Mississippi State," said Dent. "I would say Alabama and Clemson are my top two schools. Alabama was the first school to call me on September 1st."

Dent talks about his top two choices.

Alabama: "I love their defense. They are playing really good right now. The coaches are great. I talk to Coach [Paul] Randolph once a week. He seems like a real cool guy. Alabama isn't far away from home as well."

Clemson: "I went up to Clemson for their game against Texas A&M. I met all the coaches, and they seemed pretty cool. I really loved the atmosphere up there. It's a small town. Everyone knows each other."

Dent has not set up any official visits. Top Stories
