Hinton Looking at Clemson

Michael Hinton was one of the top defensive backs in the state of North Carolina last season and he has a whole range of schools beating down his door- including the Clemson Tigers.

DB Michael Hinton (6'3, 190, 4.52) is one of the top defensive backs in North Carolina. At the recent Nike Camp in Chapel Hill, the preseason All-American impressed onlookers and more than held his own against some of the top receivers in the state.

During his senior season at Cummings, Hinton recorded 89 tackles and 9 interceptions. His efforts helped lead Cummings to the 2A state championship game before eventually falling to Clinton. Hinton is looking forward to having even more success next year at his new school, Hargrave Military Academy. "I'm just going to go up there and try my hardest to help the team win. I'll do whatever it takes to help the team win a championship."

All the awards and incredible play have not gone unnoticed. Some of the schools most actively recruiting Hinton are Virginia, Wake Forest, Clemson, NC State, Florida, Michigan, and East Carolina. Hinton doesn't really have one favorite, but feels sure his final decision will be one of two schools. "Right now I believe my final decision is going to be between Florida and NC State. Those are my two top schools."
