South Carolina native Darius Gaither, like many of the top prospects in the south, is having an outstanding senior season. "I have eight touchdowns and 442 yards rushing so far this year. I also have like 550 all purpose yards," Gaither told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

The prize recruit is also recovering from what appears to be a minor ankle injury. "I didn't play last week and I am not going to play this week," Gaither said. "I have a high ankle sprain. It's better, but I'm not going to play. They wanted me to sit out for two weeks. It shouldn't be a big deal."

When asked if he has any current favorites in recruiting process, Gaither responded, "No, I've still got everybody about the same. I'm not ready to name any favorites.

"I don't know when I will start narrowing things down. It will probably be around December. I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and talk about it."

Gaither is also still unsure where he will take unofficial visits over the next few weeks, but he does plan to be back in Death Valley in November. "I'm not sure where I will go over the next few weeks. I flip-flop my planning from week to week. But I will be going to Clemson to watch the Florida State game if everything works out good," he said.

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding athlete from South Carolina, right up through signing day.
