Renaldo Gaskins (6'3, 187, 4.65) is a name you'll want to remember next season. Gaskins is one of the top safeties in South Carolina and he plays for head coach Jimmy Neal, and the Camden Bulldogs.
Gaskins finished his junior year with 81 tackles, 3 INTs, 2 fumble recoveries, and 7 passes broken up.
He has outstanding size at 6'3, and he'll likely be able to grow into his frame a little more this year- which should stimulate scholarship offers from all over the country. He has decent speed, but he's most known for laying out recievers. Simly put, he's an outstanding pure tackler.
Although he does not have any official offers just yet, he is hearing from schools all over the southeast, including Clemson, South Carolina, Michigan, Tennessee, North Carolina, and North Carolina State among others.
He'll bring in a few offers after the May Evaluation Period, and one of them could very well be Clemson. The Tigers have had good success in getting talent out of Camden over the last few years, and hopefully that will continue into the forseeable future.
Gaskins intends on camping at Clemson, South Carolina, and Penn State this summer but he does not have a current favorite.
We'll continue to keep you updated on Renaldo Gaskins as we receive more information.
