McDaniel Planning Visits

Four-star safety will visit the Tigers, and possibly several other schools this fall.

6-1, 180 pound safety prospect DeAndre McDaniel had another outstanding game Friday night for Godby High School. "I had eight catches for 215 yards and three touchdowns on offense," McDaniel told CUTigers.com in a recent interview. "On defense I has one pass breakup and six tackles. We are 6-1 on the year."

McDaniel, who committed to the Tigers earlier this summer, is still firm with his commitment, but don't be surprised to see him visit several other schools.

"I am going to take some other visits, but most likely Clemson is where I am going to be," he said. "I am probably going to take my visits. I'm not sure where yet, but I am going to take some other ones."

McDaniel said he received a phone call from Clemson assistant Dabo Swinney last week before the N.C. State game.

"I talked to Coach Swinney last Tuesday before the game," he said. "He wanted to make sure I was going to watch the game. He also said he wants me to come up for the Florida State game.

"I thought Clemson played a great game. I'm glad they won."

And what about visiting Clemson for the FSU game in November?

"I'll be coming up then," McDaniel said. "I am coming up with my dad. It will be his first visit to Clemson."
