4-Star DB Considering Official Visit

One of the top athletes in Mississippi has Clemson in his top five as he plans his official visits.

6-2, 200 pound four-star safety prospect Allen Walker (6-2, 200, 4.55) is having an outstanding senior season on both sides of the ball for Olive Branch (MS).

"We are 6-1 this year. On defense I have 29 tackles, two sacks, one interception and three fumble recoveries. I have seven catches for over 200 yards and three rushes for 70 yards on offense," Walker told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

In terms of recruiting, when asked who his current favorites are, Walker responded, "Florida, Mississippi, Nebraska, Clemson and Tennessee."

The prize recruit has also set one official visit. "I am going to take an official visit to Florida in January. I am not sure when I will setup the others. Most likely all of my favorites will get a visit," Walker said.

Walker has never been to Clemson, but he would like to see what the Tigers have to offer. "Yeah, I have never been to Clemson. I will probably take an official visit there. I want to," he said.

Coach Swinney is recruiting Walker for the Tigers. "I haven't talked to him in a little while. He called last night but we didn't connect. He's a pretty cool guy," he said.

Don't expect a decision from Walker until after he takes his five official visits. "I will probably wait until signing day to make my decision," he said.

And what will be most important factor in his decision making process? It's simple, according to Walker. "Playing time is most important," he said.

Which school is recruiting the Mississippi standout the hardest? "I would say Ole Miss right now," he said.
