4-star LB Planning Return Visit

Brandon Spikes, one of the top linebackers in the southeast, is planning to be back in Death Valley for another unofficial visit in November.

The prize recruit was recently named to the North Carolina Shrine Bowl roster last week. "I am really happy about that. I am looking forward to it," Spikes told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

When asked if he has any current favorites, in the recruiting process Spikes responded, "No, I'm just open for everybody. I haven't narrowed it down yet. I will probably do so in December."

The talented linebacker took an unofficial visit to one of the in-state schools this past weekend. "I went to the North Carolina game against Virginia this weekend. It was a good game. I was surprised at the outcome. I am looking at both of those schools," he said.

Spikes witnessed a three overtime game between Clemson and Miami earlier this year, and he also is planning a return visit to Death Valley in November. "I am going up for the Florida State game," stated Spikes.

Will distance be a factor in Spikes decision? "No, not really. The in-state schools don't have an advantage."

Spikes also plans to complete his senior season before setting up any official visits. "I won't setup any official visits until after the season," he added.
