Reyshawn Terry just seems to win. 2002 has seen the Junior Wing Forward lead Reynolds High School and his AAU team to State Championships. College Coaches love winners and they are beginning to show their love by making offers to this versatile player. TSW got up with Reyshawn and his AAU/High School coach Andre Gould to see how his recruitment has progressed now that the spring contact period is over.

We asked coach Gould if UNC and UConn were now the leaders to land the services of Terry. "They are in the top 5, but Wake Forest, NC State and Clemson also needs to be listed also." Gould said "He likes those coaches as well, Coach Sendek, Prosser, and Shyatt. With the exception of UNC, all of those schools have officially offered Reyshawn. He is going to take his time to make the right decision."

We also talked briefly to Terry who confirmed the list. "I would say Connecticut and UNC are my top 2 right now, but I also like NC State, Wake Forest and Clemson."

We also asked Terry about rumors that he and Kappa teammate/friend Chris Paul might play on the next level together. "If it can be worked out, we would like that to happen. But he has to do what's best for him and same goes for me. But if we can play together, that would be great."

Reyshawn has a busy summer planned playing for Kappa Magic as well as attending Nike and the NBA camp.

Scouting Report:
Reyshawn Terry is extremely athletic wing forward, who shows his versatility when he handles the rock like a smaller guard. He has a silky stroke from beyond the arc and has the ability to make the mid-range jumper off the dribble as well.

Dave Telep from TheInsidersHoops.com describes Terry in the following way. "Terry is a terrific athlete blessed with range on his jumper. He's a tremendous defensive player who guards on the wing and challenges shots. This might be the best high school member of the Class of 2003 in North Carolina."

UNC is believed to be the leader for Terry, but have yet to offer. Coach Doherty has scouted and has hosted Terry for an unofficial visit. UConn, Wake Forest, NC State, Clemson, and Virginia Tech are also in the mix.
