5-Star DE Amazed by Tigers

5-star defensive end says he missed last weekend's planned visit as a result of a mix up.

The 6-6, 245 pound defensive end prospect went to see two SEC powers fight it out this past weekend. "I went to the Alabama game against LSU. It was pretty good. It was a good defensive struggle," Whitehead told CUTigers.com.

Tiger fans should not take the fact that Peanut decided to go to the Alabama game this weekend instead of the Clemson game as a sign that he has lost interest in the Tigers. "It was just a mix up on my dates. Remember Clemson was the first to offer," he said.

"I am still planning to come up for an official visit in January."

The talented defender was also surprised to hear the score of the Clemson-FSU game while he was at Alabama. "I didn't get to watch any of the Clemson game but they did keep updating the score during the game. It was a shock to me," he said.

When asked if he is ready to name a leader, Whitehead responded, "No, I'm not ready for that just. I still don't even have a top five just yet. I will narrow things down in about two weeks."

Although his season just ended last week, Peanut is already back in the weight room to prepare for the college game. "I'm working out in the weight room. I took a week off and today I got back in the weight room," Whitehead added.
