McDaniel Working on Kareem Crowell

4-star prospect DeAndre McDaniel traveled to Clemson Saturday along with a talented teammate, Auburn commitment Kareem Crowell. CUTigers.com has all the details on his visit and much more, in this report.

The 6-1, 180 pound defensive back prospect made the long trip from Tallahassee, Fla. to Clemson to watch the Tigers whip Florida State last weekend. "I enjoyed it a lot. It made me feel good about my decision," McDaniel told CUTigers.com.

Of course, one of McDaniel's teammates, Auburn commitment DL Kareem Crowell also made the trip with DeAndre, and he too came away impressed with Clemson's performance. "He liked it. He liked it a lot. I have said I thought he would end up with Clemson. This only made it a lot better," McDaniel said.

The prize recruit was impressed with the crowd in Death Valley on Saturday.

"They stayed loud the whole game. Even on bad plays they were loud. I really knew it would be like that. Clemson is a football town so I knew it would be like that. It was nice to experience it," he said.

When asked how firm his commitment is to the Tigers, McDaniel responded, "It is real firm."

What about other visits? Will McDaniel still visit other schools this winter? "My dad wants me to take my visits. I will probably take a few, but it's more than likely I will be at Clemson," he said.

What is McDaniel looking forward to the most about coming to Clemson? "I'm looking forward to coming in next year and leading the team to a national championship. I am looking forward to getting good grades and getting my degree," McDaniel added.
