Ogren Set With Clearinghouse for January

Jeff Ogren continues his impressive senior season as American Christian Academy prepares for the semi-finals. The talented receiver is set to begin his Clemson experience in less than two months. CUTigers.com has all the details in this recruiting update.

The 6-2, 185 pound wide receiver prospect had an outstanding game on both sides of the ball this past week.

"It was a great game. We won 28-7. I was the defensive and offensive player of week for west Alabama. I had two interceptions and six tackles on defense. On offense I had six catches for 80 yard and two touchdowns. We are going to the fourth round of the playoffs. If we win next week we are in the championship game," said Ogren.

The prize recruit also has good news on early-enrollment front: it appears he will be enrolling at Clemson next semester.

In fact, he'll be graduating in just a few weeks from American Christian Academy. "It is going great. I was having some difficulty at first with the (NCAA) Clearinghouse because of my English class, but my school got that straight. It is all clear now and I will be graduating on December 9. I will be enrolling at Clemson in the second week of January.

Did Ogren check out the Tigers game this weekend against South Carolina?

"I didn't get a chance to watch it but I talked with Coach Swinney. They are pumped about beating South Carolina. I am going to see if I can get a tape of the game," he said.

The Alabama standout will be back in Clemson for an official visit in December. "I will be taking my official visit in the first couple of weeks of December. It should be the week after I graduate," Ogren said.

Ogren is also hoping to be able to be with the team during some of the bowl preparations. "Coach Swinney has mentioned it. I was a little shocked at first. If I can participate I will definitely will," he added.
