GA DT Talks Clemson

Alex Dekle and his Statesboro High School Blue Devils are gearing up for their state championship game against Northside-Warner Robins. Both teams are 14-0 heading into this highly anticipated matchup. What is Dekle's outlook on this game?

"We're playing at Georgia Southern's stadium," Alex Dekle said. "It's really a home game for us. We hope to come out with a win. On defense we need to focus on shutting down the pass and run. Our offense should take care of themselves. We're both undefeated. It's gonna be a great game."

In late September Dekle declared Ohio State as his leader. Has anything changed?

"I'm actually undecided right now. I have the same interest in all of the schools on my list. Add one school on there. Add Clemson."

Which schools has Dekle been in closest contact with?

"Clemson and Mississippi State have been coming at me really hard. I've been in really close contact with those schools."

What will be some of the deciding factors for Dekle on signing day?

"I'll look at Academic help. I'd like to red-shirt my first year to get accustomed to how they run things. Location could factor in there too. It won't matter which position I play though, as long as I get to play."

Alex Dekle has offers from Ohio State, Mississippi State, Central Florida, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Clemson. He'll schedule his official visits after the state championship game on Friday.
