Swinney Visits Auburn Commitment

The Clemson Tigers have recruited Tallahassee, Fla. very well the past two years. Will DL Kareem Crowell, a current Auburn verbal commitment, be the next to head to Tiger Town?

Clemson assistant coach Dabo Swinney traveled to Tallahassee, Fla. on Tuesday where he met with 6-3, 285 pound defensive line prospect Kareem Crowell and several of his teammates. "Coach Swinney came by the school yesterday. Then he came by our basketball game last night. DeAndre plays basketball," Crowell told CUTigers.com.

"It went real well. We sat down and talked about the visit. I am coming up to Clemson on January 20. Marcus Udell also setup a visit for the same weekend."

When asked where the Tigers stand, Crowell responded, "Clemson is still in that second spot. I'm going to take the visit. I'm just starting to evaluate things."

Crowell's teammate, Clemson commit DeAndre McDaniel is working hard to convince his friends to join him in Tiger Town. "DeAndre is still working me and Marcus. We all have visits setup. Coach Swinney also said that he went by and visited with Marcus Sims and that he is going to visit. I think he is going to go up with DeAndre on the 13th," he said.

Is it possible that the Tigers pull the foursome from the Noles backyard? "That is what we are looking like. If everything goes right it could happen. Recruiting is really starting to heat up," he said.

"I am kind of enjoying it. We had six coaches come by today. I'm not use to it but I'm kind of enjoying it."

Crowell has also turned his focus towards the classroom now that the season is over. "I'm hitting the weight room and the books. It's going to come down to the wire. I'm working hard and I think I'll make it," he added.
