Q & A with OL Ty Hall

Big offensive lineman Ty Hall answers some of our questions regarding the recruiting process as well as the Clemson Tigers. Hall is one of the top offensive linemen returning in the talent rich state of Ohio next season.

Ty Hall (6'6,280,5.1) from Anderson High School in Cincinnati, Ohio will be one of the top recruits in the Cincinnati area this fall and he projects as a full qualifier with a GPA well over 3.6. He spent last year playing mostly at guard, but he could move over to tackle if need be.

Ty took a few minutes out from his busy schedule to speak with us earlier today. Here is what he had to say:

Thanks for taking the time out to speak with us Ty, tell us a little about yourself?
Last year, I was 2nd team all city, an Ohio Future Star, A Gatorade Will to Win athlete at Ohio State Camp, and I was voted captain this year. I also had around 160 knockdowns, excluding cut blocks.

Which schools have been in contact with you most recently?
Louisville, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Clemson, Michigan, Notre Dame, Maryland, Ohio State, Illinois, Purdue, Pitt, Oregon, Miami Ohio, Northwestern, Florida, Central Florida, Indiana, West Virginia, UC, Boston College, Duke, Wake Forest, Iowa, South Carolina, and others as well.

What about scholarship offers?
Boston College, Duke, Stanford, Wake, and UC have offered scholarships.

Who from Clemson has been in touch with you?
The recruiting coordinator has contacted me, and the line coach is coming up with him on May 17, or somewhere around there. Clemson was my first phone call on May 1.

Tell us a little about your experiences with Clemson.
Last year, I was at the Wake Forest game, in Winston-Salem, and I was much more impressed with Clemson's fans, they had about half as many as Wake did, but were twice as loud.

My coach, Vince Suriano, is buddies with Tommy Bowden, and is always promoting the Tigers to our team. I know that Clemson has a great team, is remodeling the university and football facilities, and brings a huge crowd to all of their games.

Where will you be camping this summer?
This summer I will probably attend several one day camps. Clemson likely will be one of them.

Thanks again Ty for taking the time out to speak with us, and good luck next season!
