Jenkins Commits to Clemson

As first reported on the CUTigers.com Premium Message board, the Clemson Tigers have received the verbal commitment of DL Jarvis Jenkins of Daniel High School.

DL Jarvis Jenkins
6-5, 284, 4.9
Daniel High School
Central, South Carolina

Jenkins, playing as a defensive tackle, recorded 61 tackles, 49 of those solo, and nine tackles for loss as a junior.

"Jarvis is one of those naturally athletic players that get caught in a lineman's body. What you get with that is a defensive tackle with a high ceiling of talent," says Scout.com Eastern Recruiting Analyst Miller Safrit.

"Jenkins has a good, solid powerful motion to keep himself off defender and has a good top-end speed for pursuit. He needs to keep working on his explosion off the ball and flexbility, the most recurrent problem with all high school defensive linemen."

CUTigers.com will have more on Jarvis Jenkins, as we receive more information.
