Junior WR to Meet with Bowden

Last week junior receiver Xavier Dye told Coach Ron West he wanted to commit to the Clemson Tigers. And now Tuesday, after speaking with Coach West again, his commitment has now been accepted and a meeting with Coach Bowden has been scheduled for this weekend. CUTigers.com has the latest in this recruiting update.

6-5, 180 pound wide receiver prospect Xavier Dye spoke with Clemson assistant coach West earlier today. "I talked with Coach West today, right after school. He said they would take me. He was happy. He said it was wonderful," Dye said.

The junior standout will now travel to Clemson this weekend to sit down face to face with head coach Tommy Bowden. "I am going to go up and meet with Coach Bowden on Sunday. They have a practice or something," said Dye.

The talented athlete is now helping Greenwood on the hardwood now that football is over. "We won our game tonight 67-64. The game went to overtime. We played well and I played well," he said.

Dye was also in Columbia Friday night to watch his future teammate Willy Korn win a state championship. "We talked for a little bit. I was teasing him about all of the fun they were having out there," he added.

The Tigers have three public verbal commits in the 2007 recruiting class. All three players are ranked in Scout.com's preliminary top 10 list.
