6-2, 315 pound defensive tackle prospect Torell Johnson recently had a visit from Clemson assistant coach Ron West last week. "Coach West came down last Friday. We talked about my official visit. I am going to come up to Clemson to visit on January 22," Johnson told CUTigers.com.
When asked if he feels Clemson will offer, Johnson responded, "I think they are close. They are just waiting for me to qualify. I am 40 points away from qualifying. I need to take the SAT one more time.
"I am taking the SAT again at the beginning of January. I should get my test results back before I visit. That's why we scheduled the visit for late January."
Central Florida also visited with the Georgia standout. "I think they are close to offering as well. I will visit there on January 6," he added.
The Salem High defender will be playing in the Georgia North/South All-star game. "I am going to play basketball this year, but not until after the All-star game. I will be playing center (on the basketball team)," Johnson said.
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive tackle from Georgia, right up through signing day.
