Fork Union RB Lightning Fast!

After igniting the fields at West Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman, Jacoby Ford took his speed to Fork Union Military Academy where he has seen his recruiting stock shoot through the roof.

"Recruiting is going well," said Ford. "Virginia Tech offered me, Virginia, Florida, West Virginia, Tennessee, Clemson, Michigan, Michigan State [have all offered], and I've been talking to USC. The most recent one is Tennessee."

Although Ford denies having any favorites, he's been very active in taking and scheduling official visits.

"I took a visit to Michigan State a month ago," said Ford. "This weekend I'm going to Virginia Tech, next week I'm going to Clemson, and I have to set up some more after that. I want to try to go out to USC and then take one down to Florida because it's my home."

Ford, a 5-foot-9 175-pounder, was one of the brighter stars at the Fork Union combine Tuesday when he was unofficially clocked at 4.12 seconds twice on the 40-yard dash. That speed matched with his on field vision make him a lethal weapon with the ball in his hands.

"[Recruiters] are looking at me at wide receiver and especially punt return, kick return because of my speed and my vision," said Ford.

During his post-graduate football season at Fork Union, Ford showed that speed and vision when he ran three kick-offs and two punt returns back for touchdowns. He also added 14 receiving touchdowns to his total. Top Stories
