Johnson Eyes Early Enrollment; Talks Visits

Kendrick Johnson appears to be firming things up with the Clemson Tigers, he just wants to see a little snow before the recruiting process comes to an end.

When will WR Kendrick Johnson enroll at Clemson? That seems to be the biggest questions surrounding his recruitment entering the heart of December.

"I am probably going to start (at Clemson) in January. It is still up in the air," Johnson told CUTigers.com earlier this week. "I'm still working with my guidance counselor. She is trying to see if I can graduate early and enroll in January. I will probably know for sure sometime next week."

Clemson recruiting coordinator David Blackwell visited with the 6-1, 175 pound wide receiver prospect last week, and according to Johnson, he should have also been in town yesterday as well. "Coach Blackwell is coming down Thursday to watch me in the Florida All-star game," he said.

And what about the other schools? Is there a possibility Johnson will change is mind?

Not so according to him. "As soon as I graduate I will definitely be going to Clemson. I am 100 percent firm with Clemson," he responded.

The Fort Lauderdale standout will also be taking a series of official visits in the coming weeks. "I am going visit Clemson on December 16. Then I will be going out to Colorado and that will be it," Johnson said.

"I am going to Colorado for a visit on Friday. The coach from Colorado told me they were going to play Clemson in the bowl." The talented receiver had not heard about the head coaching change at Colorado, but he still plans to make the visit. "I am still planning to go. I have never seen snow before. That is a big reason I am going," Johnson added.
