Ogren Graduates; Eyes Official Visit

Future Tiger wide receiver Jeff Ogren returned from a trip to California on Thursday night to prepare for his official visit to Clemson on Friday. CUTigers.com caught up with the high school graduate and we've got the latest in this recruiting update.

The 6-2, 185 pound wide receiver spent a few days in California this week with his father enjoying a few rounds of golf. "I am just coming back from California," Ogren told CUTigers.com Thursday night. "Me and my dad just went out to Southern California. We played some great golf courses. It was kind of a graduation present."

Graduation? That's right, Ogren finished up high school at American Christian Academy (Ala.) last week. "It was awesome. It's a relief to finish strong," he said. "Right now I am in Dallas. We will be home later tonight. We leave in the morning to go up to Clemson.

Not surprisingly, Ogren is expecting an Alabama native to host him this weekend on his official visit.

"Yeah I'm excited about the visit. My host will be either be Tribble Reese or Tyler Grisham. I think it will be Tribble. I just want to get everything settled in while I'm there. I want to meet all of my teammates. I want to get comfortable with the atmosphere."

So when will Ogren actually be enrolling at Clemson? Is there a chance he could practice with the team in Orlando?

"Right now, I believe I am going up on the 8th or 9th of January for orientation. Then classes start on the 11th I believe. I'll be watching the game on television," he added.
