"It Was Awesome"

Jeff Ogren traveled to Clemson for his official visit this weekend as he prepares to begin his college career in just three weeks. CUTigers.com spoke with the star receiver as he returned home from his visit and we've got all the details in this recruiting update.

The 6-2, 185 pound wide receiver prospect took his much-anticipated official visit to Clemson over the weekend. "It was awesome. It was lot of fun. I could not have asked for anything else," Ogren told CUTigers.com. "We toured everything. We went over all of the academics stuff and got that all settled. I got to meet with the players."

The American Christian Academy standout enjoyed watching the Tigers prepare for the Champ Sports Bowl. "I went to the practices. I was with Coach Bowden a lot during practice. He was trying to teach me the plays and explain the offense."

The talented receiver was hosted by two Tigers from his home state. "I was hosted by both Tyler Grisham and Tribble Reese. They introduced me to a lot of people. We hung out and they showed me around."

How did Ogren rate the visit on a scale of one to ten? "I would definitely give it a ten," he said. "I have about three weeks before I come back. I will just continue to workout and get ready to come up there. I won't do much over the holidays."

Ogren will get to room with the other receivers starting in January. "I am going up on January 8th for orientation. I'm going to room with Kendrick. I think Jacoby will also be rooming with us now that he is committed."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding receiver from Alabama.
