Fla DT Will Visit Tigers' Bowl Practice

Clemson assistant coach Marion Hobby continues to be a key recruiter for the Tigers this year. This top defensive tackle prospect from Florida, who was recently visited by Coach Hobby, is expecting a Clemson offer in the very near future.

Abre Leggins has three official visits lined up in January and he's trying to figure out how to squeeze two more in.

"I'm going to Clemson on the 13th, Michigan State on the 20th, and Ole Miss on the 27th," Leggins said. "I'm gonna take two more but I need to find out who they're gonna be to. Memphis and NC State, maybe."

At 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, Leggins played on both sides of the ball as a senior. He's being recruited to play either side. "It doesn't matter to me," he said. "Whatever gets me on the field, that's where I'll play."

The talented lineman expressed a lot of interest in Clemson. "The D-Line coach came to my house to meet with me and everything went good," he said. "I'm actually going to their practice for the bowl game here in Orlando on Saturday. They plan to offer me during my visit."

Leggins, a full academic qualifier, is at all-star practice throughout the rest of the week.

While playing next to Iowa-bound Vernon Jackson, Leggins finished the season with 40 tackles, six sacks, and two caused fumbles. He currently holds offers from Ole Miss, N.C. State and Michigan State.
