SC OL Will Visit Clemson Last

Last week Jamal Medlin was showing college coaches why he is perhaps the top offensive lineman in South Carolina. This week he is enjoying his holiday and making his official visit plans. has the latest on this rising star in this recruiting update.

After picking up several new scholarship offers with his impressive week practicing before the Shrine Bowl, 6-6, 295 pound offensive tackle prospect Jamal Medlin is now working on his official visit tour. "I am planning to go to Maryland on January 6. I am planning to go to North Carolina State on January 13 and most likely Clemson on January 20. I am not sure if I will take any other visits. I am still discussing it with my family," he said.

What is the Palmetto standout looking for in a college? "I will be looking at academics first. I want to find something that I can enjoy. I would like to be an accountant one day so I will probably major in Business," Medlin responded.

Clemson assistant coach Burton Burns has built a good relationship with the Orangeburg Wilkinson standout. "I called Coach Burns after the Shrine Bowl to give him the score. We talked about the tough loss. Coach Burns and I get along pretty tight," he said.

Don't expect a decision from the Shrine Bowl standout until he has taken some visits. "I am going to try to take all my visits first. I want to see how they go and then I will make a decision," he said.
