WR/KR Will Sign This Week

With the holidays in the rearview mirror, Jacoby Ford is preparing to begin his Clemson experience in less than a week.

Jacoby Ford The 5-9, 175 pound prospect and Clemson verbal commitment has enjoyed his break from school in recent weeks. "It's been going good. I have just been relaxing and eating a lot," Ford told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

"I haven't signed my papers (with Clemson) yet. But I will sign them sometime this week. I am going up to Clemson on Saturday."

Clemson assistant coach Burton Burns will travel to Florida this week to meet with Jacoby and his family. "I talked with the coach yesterday. He wanted to know how I was doing. He is coming down to see me this week," said Ford.

What is Ford looking forward to the most about his Clemson career? "I am just excited about getting up there. I am ready to get going so I can help out."

Ford, who commmitted to the Tigers in December, has reported 40-yard dash times under 4.2 seconds. He also won the 100- and 200-meter races at the Class 2A state track meet as a senior in high school with times of 10.32 and 21.25 respectively.

He is expected to see time this spring as a kick returner and wide receiver.
