LB Preparing for Final Visits

As recruiting heads down the home stretch, this linebacker from Florida is one of the top names still on the board for the Clemson Tigers, and he's also expecting a visit from assistant coach Dabo Swinney later this week.

LB Kevin Alexander has maintained for quite some time that he's waiting to take his remaining official visits before making a decision in the recruiting process.

Entering the heart of January, not too much has changed.

"Yeah I am still visiting Clemson on January 13. I am going to Louisville this weekend. And I will be going to Tennessee on January 20th," Alexander told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

Is the prize recruit any closer to making a decision after the holidays? "No sir. I'm still undecided," he responded.

Several coaches are planning to stop by and visit with Alexander this week as the dead period comes to a close. "I know coach Swinney is supposed to be back down this week to see me," stated Alexander. "A couple more are coming to see me I know."

The Union County standout watched the Champ Sports Bowl last week and was impressed with the Tigers' defense. "I watched the game. It was a good game. I could see myself playing on that defense," he said.

The talented athlete has also been spending time playing basketball for Union County. "It is going good. We just had a game a few days ago. We have one win and two losses," he added.

With 18 verbal commitments in the bag, Alexander is one of the last linebackers still on the board. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding prospect from Florida, right up through signing day.
