Lumberton High School
Clemson running backs coach Burton Burns traveled to Lumberton High School today to visit with 5-10, 180 pound running back Terry Grant Wednesday. "Coach Burns came by the school today. It went real good. It was the first time he has come down. He is a pretty good guy. He is straight up," Grant told CUTigers.com.
The star running back plans two more official visits in the recruiting process, including one to Clemson. "Yeah I am going to visit Clemson and Florida State. I am going to Clemson on January 13 and Florida State on January 20. That will be it. I have already taken visits to Southern Mississippi and Alabama," he said.
When asked if he has a leader, Grant responded, "No, not yet."
Clemson defensive coordinator Vic Koening is recruiting the Mississippi standout for the Tigers. "Coach Vic is a pretty good guy," stated Grant.
What will the prize recruit consider when he makes his final decision? "First I will look at education. I want to major in Business. Second I will look at playing time. I will look at how fast I can get on the field," Grant responded.
The talented running back will not have a decision until late January. "I will not make my decision until I get through taking all of my visits."
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding running back from Mississippi, right up through signing day.
