DE Visiting Tigers, Bulldogs

One of the top defensive ends in Alabama, who is currently committed to Mississippi State, will be traveling to Clemson in just over a week for an official visit. CUTigers.com has the latest in this recruiting update.

As it stands now, 6-3, 230 pound defensive end prospect Rodney Prince is planning two official visits for January. "Right now, I am going to Clemson on January 13th and Mississippi State on January 20th. That is it. Those are the only two I am taking," Prince told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

The prize recruit committed to Mississippi State in September, but he is keeping his options open. When asked how firm his commitment is to Mississippi State, Prince responded, "It is pretty firm, but I'm keeping everything open."

What would it take for the Tigers to pull ahead? "I would just need to get the right feeling when I visit. I want to see what my parents think of it when I visit," he said.

Clemson assistant Dabo Swinney is recruiting the talented defender for Clemson, but defensive line coach Marion Hobby has also been involved. "They are both great guys. They are very honest with you. I think they are excellent coaches. They have been around some good football," Prince said.

"I talked with Coach Swinney yesterday. He said he is going to try to come by the school this week."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive end from Alabama, right up through signing day.
