Mom's Decision Critical with Spiller

Will 5-star running back C.J. Spiller definitely visit Clemson? What's the story?

U.S.Army All-American RB C.J. Spiller appears to have made a change to his official visit plans for January.

"Basically I talked with Coach Swinney today [Wednesday]. He was telling me about the plane tickets for the visit. I would fly into Atlanta and then he would pick me up," Spiller said. "I know I am going to Florida on January 13, Miami on January 20 and Florida State on January 27. I am supposed to go to Clemson on the 16th, but I don't know about that one. It's still up in the air a little bit."

Why could the visit be "up in the air?"

"I need to talk to my mom first. She is on her way out now. I will already be gone to California for two weeks and I have visits schedule for every weekend. I need to see what my mom thinks," he said.

The 5-star running back is enjoying his time in San Antonio where he is preparing Army All-American game on Saturday. "Everything is going good. I am enjoying the trip a lot. We have been hanging out as a team. I am getting to know everyone," Spiller said.

So Spiller, who has already visited Southern California, is also looking at Clemson, Miami, Florida State and Florida.

"I am pretty much down to those four plus Southern California. I will make my decision after I have taken all of my visits," he said.

And when we can final confirmation on a potential visit to Clemson? "I will know once I discuss it with my mom. Once she gets out here we will discuss it," Spiller added.
