Book It! 5-Star RB to Visit Clemson

5-star running back C.J. Spiller has discussed his official visit plans with his mother and he has decided he will indeed be visiting Clemson. The U.S. Army All-American even has a backup plan in case he decides not to visit on Sunday. has all the details in this exciting recruiting update.

After talking it over with his mother, 5-10, 185 pound running back C.J. Spiller will indeed visit Clemson officially this month.

"I am probably going to go ahead and take it. If I don't take it this week, I will take it the 20th instead of going to Miami," Spiller told Tuesday evening. "I'm not sure about the visit to Miami because of all the coaches they let go. That is a concern for me and my family."

Clemson assistant Dabo Swinney has everything setup for an official visit on Sunday, January 15. "I am scheduled to leave Sunday around noon and fly to Atlanta. If I don't come then I will come up the next weekend."

The 5-star running back is looking forward to completing his official visits. "It's going great. I am ready to get the visits done," he said.

And what about his final decision? Has a timeframe emerged for one of the nation's top running backs? "I am praying to god about the decision. Once the visits are done I will make my decision," Spiller responded.

"It is nice to be home. It is nice to be back in Florida. I really liked Texas, but I'm glad to be home."

Spiller had over 1,800 yards rushing this year on 167 carries and scored 30 touchdowns. The North Florida senior, who had the best 40-yard dash time at any of the Combines spring 2004 as a sophomore, also ran the fastest time of any Junior at the Combines last year.
