Stuckey Hosting Fla DB

One of the Tigers' top verbal commitments will be hosted by Chansi Stuckey this weekend on his official visit, but this 4-star prospect has a lot more on his mind than most recruits. Why? For starters, he's looking to bring some of his buddies from the Tallahassee area with him to Clemson on National Signing Day.

4-star safety prospect DeAndre McDaniel will make the drive From Tallahassee, Fla. to Clemson Friday. "We are heading up Friday morning. My mom, god mom and father are coming with me," McDaniel told CUTigers.com in a recent interview. "Coach Swinney called on Monday. We talked about the plans for the visit."

The Florida native wants his family to see what Clemson has to offer and do a little recruiting over the weekend. "I don't really want to see anything this weekend. I have already seen everything. I want to show everything to my family. I also want to help recruit a little bit," he said.

"I am going to work on Marcus Sims, Ochuko Jenije and Craig Stevens. I talked to Craig this week after our basketball game. He and his brother were at the game. I told him to be ready to commit this weekend. I am also going to recruit the two Union County players, Kevin Alexander and C.J. Spiller."

The Seminoles continue to try and make a late push for a visit from the Godby standout. Will McDaniel take an official visit to Florida State? "No, I am still only going to Clemson," McDaniel said.

When asked how firm he is with his commitment to Clemson, McDaniel responded, "I'm firm."

McDaniel continues to have an impressive season for Amos P. Godby on the court. "I had 18 points last night. We are 12-4 on the year," he added.

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding safety from Florida, right up through signing day.
