Junior "bandit" defensive end Gaines Adams met with Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden shortly after 4 o'clock today regarding a potential decision to enter the 2006 NFL Draft a year early.
After meeting with coach Bowden and several other assistant coaches for well over an hour, it appears that no immediate decision has been made regarding his future at Clemson.
Adams recorded 56 total tackles, including 15 for loss, to go along with 9.5 sacks, nine passes broken up and 29 quarterback pressures this past season.
Adams' projected round in the upcoming NFL Draft varied widely among NFL experts, however most scouts agreed that he would be better suited to return to school for his senior year.
One mock draft listed Adams as a first round pick, while most others had him going in the third round or later.
Adams told CUTigers.com earlier today, "I may not have a reached a decision (after today's meeting)."
Indeed that appears to be the case. CUTigers.com will have more on Adams' big decision, later this evening.
Decision on Hold
