One of the top junior cornerbacks in the southeast will take an unofficial visit to Clemson Saturday afternoon.

Richland Northeast junior Gary Gray will be making an unofficial visit to Clemson over the weekend, CUTigers.com has learned.

"Yeah, I will be coming up to Clemson tomorrow. I am coming with my dad and we are going to see the game," Gray told CUTigers.com Friday afternoon.

The 5-11, 180 pound prospect helped lead Richland Northeast to the state championship game this past season. Gray was a two-way standout playing both quarterback and cornerback. He's also played wide receiver during his career with the Cavaliers.

On the recruiting front, the talented athlete already has several scholarship offers on the table.

"Right now I have offers from South Carolina, Maryland, State, Auburn and several others," Gray said.

And while Clemson has not offered at this point, don't be surprised to see that change in the future. The very near future perhaps.

Gray currently checks in at No. 11 in Scout.com's initial ranking of the top prospects in South Carolina for the class of 2007. The Tigers already have three verbal commitments on board for next year's class, including the top ranked player in the state, Byrnes QB Willy Korn.

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding athlete from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2007.
