Tigers Offer Junior DE

The Tigers have now offered this top defensive end from South Carolina's low country.

Interest for Fort Dorchester standout defensive end Carlos Dunlap appears to be growing. The 6-6, 245 pound junior from South Carolina's low country now has two scholarship offers in hand entering the second half of his junior year.

"Yeah I have offers from Clemson and South Carolina right now. Several schools are showing interest including Tennessee, North Carolina, Maryland, Auburn and Georgia," Dunlap said. "I'm getting a lot of mail. There are some other schools that I can't think of right now."

Who is recruiting Dunlap for the Tigers and Gamecocks?

"Coach Burns is recruiting me for Clemson," he responded. "Coach Spurrier Jr. is recruiting me for South Carolina."

When asked if he had an early leader in the recruiting process, Dunlap said, "No, I don't have a leader at this time. Right now I'm planning to probably wait it out and see how it all goes down. I want to see what all of my options are."

Which team is recruiting the talented junior the hardest? "It seems like Clemson right now to be honest," Dunlap responded.

Dunlap, who is just 16-years old, is already physically impressive. "I am about 6-6, 245 right now but I want to put on some weight." added the standout junior.
