Scouting Report: RB Joe Joe Cox

Wondering what RB Joe Joe Cox looks like on film or what areas of his game need improvement in order for him to succeed at Clemson? CUTigers.com breaks down every prospect in the 2006 recruiting class, starting with Twiggs County RB Joe Joe Cox.

RB Joe Joe Cox
5-9.5, 209, 4.68
Twiggs County High School
Jeffersonville, Georgia

Strengths: Joe Joe Cox has a strong lower body that allows him to run through tackles. He is shifty and makes strong cuts. He also has good vision and balance which allows him to bounce off tacklers.

Weaknesses: Cox is listed at 5-10 but is more in the 5-7-5-8 range. He has good, but not great speed. He played in an I-formation run first offense and will have to work on catching and pass blocking at the next level.

Evaluation of Film: Cox can be a productive back at the Division I level. He is very strong and moves the pile. He will remind Clemson fans of Reggie Merriweather or former Tiger Chad Jasmin. Has an excellent stiff arm. Not a blazer, but does explode into the hole.
