Scouting Report: LB Kevin Alexander

Wondering what LB Kevin Alexander looks like on film or what areas of his game need improvement in order for him to succeed at Clemson?

LB Kevin Alexander
6-3, 215, 4.60
Union County High School
Lake Butler, Florida

Strengths: Physical! Alexander has the size and frame of a prototypical Div 1 linebacker. Closes hard. Strong tackler. MEAN. Good speed and flexibility for a guy his size. Athletic body with good range. Makes plays.

Weaknesses: Weaknesses are limited. Alexander will need to learn to play in space and in pass defense on the next level. Can play too upright at times.

Film Evaluation: Kevin Alexander is a physical guy. Strong enough to get off blocks and closes quickly on the ball. He has a mean streak that is noticeable on film. He gets to the ball quickly and gets there with an attitude. Athletic enough to make plays with the ball in his hands. The clips where he touches the ball shows his athleticism and speed.

NOTE TO READERS: Alexander is one of the most vastly underrated prospects in the Scout.com database. On Signing Day, fans will read the commitment list and see a three-star player. However, Clemson is getting a high impact four-star caliber player. On film, Alexander could easily remind one of 2005 FSU signee Geno Hayes.
