DT Keeping Clemson Visit

Big DT Kareem Crowell remains firm with his verbal commitment Auburn after taking an official visit over the weekend, but Clemson will now get a chance to turn the talented defender this weekend. CUTigers.com has the latest in this recruiting update.

The 6-3, 285 pound defensive tackle prospect liked what he saw when he visited Auburn last weekend.

"I had a good time," Crowell said of the visit. "I got along good with the players and the coaches. I got to see the town and the campus. The town is not too big and not too small. It is just right. I really like their stadium."

How did the prize recruit rate his visit on a scale of one to ten? "I would give it a ten," he responded.

And what about a potential official visit to Clemson this weekend? Is Crowell still planning on visiting the Tigers?

"Right now I am still going to Clemson. I am going up on Friday. I will be coming up with Craig Stevens from Lincoln," he said.

When asked how firm he is with his commitment to Auburn, Crowell responded, "As of right now I am still committed to Auburn. I am going to take my visits and see how everything plays out. I am going to Clemson and then Marshall on the 27th, and that should be about it," he said.

What will it take for Clemson to pull ahead of Auburn? "I just want to go and see the town. I want to see how I get along with the coaches. Then I will come back and talk with my parents to make a decision," he said.

"I just want to see how I fit in with the players. I really didn't get to see the town before when I came up for the Florida State game. I want to see what it's like up there."
