Is Clemson Still in Contention?

This big defensive lineman returned from his official visit to Mississippi State this weekend still committed to the Bulldogs. At the same time, he says the Clemson Tigers are still in contention for his services. has all the details in this recruiting update.

Rodney Prince, a current verbal commitment to Mississippi State, took his final official visit of the recruiting process this weekend.

"It was good. I had a good time," Prince told Sunday morning. "I would probably give it a nine (on a scale of 10)," said Prince.

When asked if he is still firm with his commitment to Mississippi State, Prince responded, "I am for right now. I should make a final decision in the next two days."

So are the Tigers still squarely in the mix to land the services of this massive defensive lineman?

"Yes they are," responded Prince, who visited Clemson officially just last weekend. "Clemson is still in it. I just need to sit down and decide where I want to be.

When asked what it would take for him to finalize his decision, Prince said, "I'm not sure right now. I will know in the next few days."

Fellow Alabama native Jock McKissic hosted prince during his official visit to Clemson last weekend. He told afterwards, "They called us the ‘Bama boys. He was a cool guy. He could answer everything."
