After taking official visits to Southern Cal, Miami, Florida, and Clemson, 5-star RB C.J. Spiller has yet to reach a decision in the recruiting process.
And with an upcoming visit planned to Florida State this weekend, it seemed odd that a Los Angeles newspaper reported Wednesday that Spiller made a recent commitment to USC.
A story in the Daily News indicated the Spiller, the nation's No. 3 back according to Scout.com, had indeed given a verbal commitment to the Trojans.
According to the Spiller camp, that is not true.
"No, that is absolutely not true," Spiller's mother said when reached by telephone Wednesday morning. C.J. has not yet made a decision.
"C.J. will take his visit to Florida State this weekend and make his decision on February 1st (National Signing Day)."
As a senior at Union County High School (Lake Butler, Fla.), Spiller rushed for over 1,800 yards and 30 touchdowns on just 167 carries.
