Pierre Jordan, a 6-foot, 160-pound guard is headed to Clemson. The Dunwoody (Ga.) High sophomore committed to the Tigers after paying Clemson a second campus visit.
"A long story short, I went down to Clemson on an unofficial visit and that was for a football game,: Jordan said. "My second unofficial visit was Sunday when they played N.C. State.
Upon returning home from the trip, Jordan thought about the scholarship offer and wasted no time in making up his mind.
"I felt like if a school went ahead and offered me I'd go ahead and take it. Why wait? Later on it might not be there."
Jordan had been on unofficial visits to Florida State, Georgia and South Carolina. The Tigers were the first – and only – school to offer him a scholarship this early in the game.
The sophomore is averaging 13 points, four assists, two boards and two steals for the Georgia prep powerhouse. Last summer he attended the adidas Top 10 camp in Suwannee.
"I'm having a great year. I see my game developing and I'm going to get a lot better if I keep working on my game right now."
