2003 Profile: OL Tyler Medlin

OL Tyler Medlin will be looking at the schools close to him this summer, and you know what that means. The battle for Medlin's sevices will likely come down to Clemson, Georgia, and South Carolina.

Tyler Medlin is another big, bruising offensive lineman out of Forsyth Central High School in Cumming, Georiga that has several top-notch programs looking to reel him in, including the Clemson Tigers.

Naturally that brings us to the all important question of where will he be camping this summer?

"I'm working full time all summer. So, I'm going to try and hit some camps that are close to home. I'm looking at Georgia, Clemson, and South Carolina, because they're all pretty close," said Medlin in an interview with Scott Kennedy earlier this week.

Tyler is best known for his fierce run-blocking, and with good reason- he stands 6-foot-4 and weighs in right under 300 pounds. He can also bench press over 330 pounds and squat 525.

Fortunately, he is already fully qualified with a 1080 SAT and a 3.3 GPA.

The battle for Medlin's services will likely come down to three old rivals.

South Carolina, Clemson, and Georgia figure to be the main players here. Other schools such as Alabama and Mississippi figure to enter into the recruiting equation as well.

Medlin will likely need to continue to improve his overall quickness if he plans on impressing the Clemson coaching staff at the Tigers' camp next week. He obiviously already has outstanding size and strength, and that likely won't be a problem as he continues to go through weight training and conditioning throughout the summer.

We will continue to keep you updated on Tyler Medlin as we receive more information throughout the summer.
