SC DE Planning Clemson Trip

One of the top defensive end prospects in the southeast is not quite ready to go on record with with his top schools entering the heart of February. However, he is hoping to camp at Clemson later this spring.

6-5, 225 pound defensive end prospect Carlos Dunlap is drawing early interest from some of the top college football programs in the country.

"I still have the same offers right now," Dunlap said. "South Carolina and Clemson have both offered. I'm also hearing from Miami, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, North Carolina State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Wake Forest, Maryland, Auburn and Tennessee.

"I really don't have any favorites right now. I'm still pretty much open."

Despite not naming an early leader, Dunlap does have a good idea of where he'll be camping this summer. "I know our school is going to a camp at Garner Webb. I am going to the Nike combine at Clemson," stated Dunlap. "Other than that, I'm not sure where I will camp this summer."

When asked if he was planning on attending any junior days around the state, Dunlap responded, "Right now I don't think I can make the junior day at South Carolina. I might be able to go to Miami on March 4 (Clemson's junior day)."

The talented athlete added that he has kept fairly busy since football season ended.

"I might be running track this spring," he said. "Right now I am playing basketball. We are in the playoffs. I am averaging nine points, 8.5 rebounds, four assists and seven blocks."
