Tigers Among Early Leaders for WR

This speedy Peach State receiver has already picked up two big time offers and he's drawing interest from schools across the south.

Israel Troupe is a prospect rising up the recruiting boards of many schools in the south. Recently, Scout.com sat down with Troupe to get the latest on his top schools. "I have an offer from Georgia Tech and Florida offered me this morning," Israel Troupe said.

Izzie also names an early top five.

"I like Clemson, Georgia Tech, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. I don't have a favorite or anything yet."

What stands out about each of his favorites?

Clemson: "Their program is getting a lot better each year."

Georgia Tech: "With their receivers graduating and Calvin maybe going to the NFL, I think they need a good receiver."

Florida: "They run the spread just like we do so I would already accustomed to their offense."

Georgia: "They just got a great quarterback in in Matthew Stafford and I wouldn't mind playing for Coach Richt."

South Carolina: "I like Steve Spurrier and they need receivers."

Troupe is a two sport star and is looking to play both baseball and football on the next level.

"All those schools have great baseball teams. South Carolina is recruiting me the most in baseball right now. I play outfield and I also pitch. I batted .394 with four homers and 50 something RBI last year. My on-base percentage was .495 and my fielding percentage was .998. I only committed one error all year."

On the football field, Troupe was just as productive for Tift County.

"I had 38 catches for 498 yards and three touchdowns receiving. I also had three kickoff's for touchdowns and a punt return for a touchdown."
