Florida OL Talks Clemson

Riverview (Fla.) junior offensive lineman Michael Iltis discussed recruiting with Dean Legge.

Michael Iltis Profile

Talk about your interest in Georgia…
Iltis: I like Georgia because they have a good program, and have really good unity in their team. I like the type of offense they run and the way they work with things.

When you think about Clemson what comes to mind?
Iltis: I like the fact that it's a nice hometown place. It's not real "party" and everything and I like that because I'm not into that. It's nice. They have a lot of family unity in their program. Their coaches are really nice and I like the way they run their offense, too.

You are from Florida, so hard difficult would it be to leave to play football?
Iltis: I think it would be hard, but I am not going to hold back.

Tell me about some other schools that you like.
Iltis: I like Florida because I like the way they run things there.

Do you like the spread? What do you mean?
Iltis: I like the spread and I like more running more with the quarterback under center than in shotgun. I like the strictness they have in their program.

What are you going to be playing?
Iltis: I play offensive guard right now, but I wouldn't mind playing offensive guard, center or tackle or defensive tackle.

NOTE: Ilitis lists Iowa as well as Penn State in his top five. He plans to camp at Clemson this summer. He has also heard from Duke, Central Florida, Ohio State, Nebraska and South Florida. Ilitis has not yet received his first offer.
