Gray Visits USC; Irish, Tigers Up Next

Gary Gray, one of the top juniors in the Palmetto state, took an unofficial visit to South Carolina this weekend. spoke with the talented athlete after he returned from his short trip to get the latest.

One of the top cornerback prospects in the country, Richland-Northeast's Gary Gray, 5-11, attended junior day at South Carolina this weekend. "It was pretty good," Gray said of his visit. "I went up with my coach and Mark Barnes. We have been there a million times."

What did he enjoy the most about the visit? "I just enjoyed talking with my recruiting coach, Coach Reeves," responded Gray.

The two-way standout already has an impressive offer list and that list will continue to grow over the spring. "I haven't gotten any new ones lately, but I believe Miami and Southern California may offer soon," he said.

The Palmetto standout will not attend Junior Day at Clemson, but he does plan to visit over the next few weeks. "I don't think I'm going to junior day up there, but I am going to go up for a spring practice. It should be sometime in the next few weeks," Gray said.

Where is Gray going this weekend?

"Notre Dame," he responded. "I will probably swing by and go to Louisville sometime this spring also."

The prize recruit also says he will begin to narrow down his list of top schools after taking more visits this spring. "I'm not even sure yet. I still plan to enroll in January and I want to take a couple visits this spring. Then I will narrow it down some," he said.

Gray added that he will likely be running track this spring for RNE. I will be running the 400," he said. Top Stories
